Join photographer Bettina Meister on a visual journey of discovery through the mysterious north of Morocco – a region where seven of Morocco's nine UNESCO World Heritage Sites shine like sparkling pearls. Some of the images look as if they were taken in Italy, Spain or even Switzerland – and yet they reveal that this is all Morocco.
The journey begins in vibrant Casablanca and continues to the windswept Cap Spartel, where the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean meet. From there, it goes through the lively coastal city of Tetouan, into the bright blue alleys of Chefchaouen, to the mystical royal city of Fez and finally to the ancient world of the Roman ruins of Volubilis.
With each photograph, Bettina Meister opens a window onto Morocco that surprises, moves and enchants. She captures the vibrant energy of the cities as well as the quiet power of the landscapes – always with a gaze full of respect and sensitivity.
At this event, you will have the opportunity to ask the photographer questions in person and learn more about her work and her travels.
